Your privacy is very important to us at Little Bee Speech Co. This Privacy Policy describes the information collected by Little Bee Speech Co. (“LBS,” “we,” “us” or “our”) through our mobile applications and website and how we use that information.

About Us
At Little Bee Speech Co., our apps are designed for SLPs, parents, and other educators to be used with students of all ages with adult supervision. We take privacy seriously and this policy is designed to share what information we collect and how we use it. This Privacy Policy is also part of the Terms of Service that explain your rights and responsibilities and Little Bee Speech Co.'s when using Little Bee Speech Co.'s services and sites. We Collect Limited Information with Our Applications
To use our mobile applications to their full capacity we require you to set up an account with Little Bee Speech Co. with your name and email address. To use our applications to the fullest we require you to add student names and ages that you are providing services to. We don’t collect or share any personal identifiable information about you or your students.

We also collect non-personal information about the duration the mobile application is used and how it is used, such as the screens viewed and actions taken within the mobile applications, which is used solely to enhance and improve our applications.

As stated above, we collect minimal personal data, and some nonpersonal data for internal use only to help us operate, analyze, and improve our sites and services. In addition, we may disclose your personal or nonpersonal information to additional parties if we believe we are required to by law, by a judicial proceeding, to protect Little Bee Speech Co.'s rights and properties, or to investigate fraud, intellectual property infringement, and any other conduct that might be illegal or expose Little Bee Speech Co. or a user of its services to legal liability.

Ownership of Student Data
All Student Data generated by an SLP, teacher or parent while using the Services normally is owned by the Account Owner which controls the account. The Company will not use Student Data for any purposes not requested by the Account Owner, and will not disclose Student Data to any party outside of those authorized.

Data Retention
User data is retained as long as it is necessary to provide the service. Data is deleted from our records when it is no longer needed within a reasonable timeframe.

Data Destruction
Account Owners have the ability to request that Company delete Student Data associated with accounts, except in instances where such data is:

Otherwise prohibited from deletion or required to be retained under state or federal law, or

Stored as a copy as part of a disaster recovery storage system and that is

Unable to be used in the normal course of business by the Company.

Account Owners may also request the deletion of any Student Data stored as part of disaster recovery by electronic mail. If possible, the Company will delete the requested Student Data within 45 business days of receiving such a request.

California Privacy Rights
California Civil Code Section § 1798.83 permits users of our Site that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We Comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
Our website and mobile applications comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 in violation of COPPA, and if in the event that a user identifies himself or herself as a child under the age of 13 through a support request, we will not collect, store or use, and will delete in a secure manner, any personal information of such user.

We Comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Little Bee Speech complies with, all applicable parts of FERPA. However, a significant portion of this responsibility falls to the Organization, and use of the Little Bee Speech software applications does not free the Organization from separately complying with FERPA and other published standards to ensure the security and privacy of Student Data.

To Receive Email Updates, We Need Your Email Address
We occasionally send a free, optional email with product and update announcements that you can elect to receive by submitting a request on our website at www.littlebeespeech.com. This is only for the purpose of keeping you up to date with our new features and products and, to the extent such email address collection is governed by COPPA, such collection is made under Section 312.4(c)(3) of the COPPA rules effective July 1, 2013, which require that we notify you that:

(i) we are collecting the email address for the sole purpose of sending the email product updates and announcements;

(ii) we use the email address solely for that purpose and the email address is not combined with any other information; and

(iii) you may opt out of receiving the newsletter at any time by unsubscribing.

Our Email Announcements are provided through our third party service provider, so we share your email address with them for the sole purpose of fulfilling the email announcements.

You Can Email Us for Support
We allow users to contact us if they have support questions about use of our mobile applications. If you submit a support request, we may receive your email address and other information you provide related to your support request (“Support Information”). We use Support Information only for the support for the internal operations of our website and Apps as provided under Section 312.2 of the COPPA rules effective July 1, 2013. Any information you share with us via email is not used in any other way, other than to help resolve the issue related to the support request.

Information Sharing and Disclosure
We use your email address only for the purpose of sending updates and announcments to you. We use Support Information only for the support for the internal operations of our website and Apps as provided under Section 312.2 of the COPPA rules effective July 1, 2013. We don’t rent, sell or share your email address unless we have your express consent and in the following circumstances: (i) We share your email address with our email list provider to deliver our email announcements to you. (ii) We may share your Support Information with our support providers, but only for the purpose of providing support to you. (iii) We may share your email address and/or Support Information: (a) to protect the security or integrity of our website and mobile applications, (b) to take precautions against liability; (c) to respond to judicial process, or (d) to the extent permitted under other provisions of law, to provide information to law enforcement agencies or for an investigation on a matter related to public safety; and where such information is not used for any other purpose, all in compliance with Section 312.5(c)(6) of the COPPA rules effective July 1, 2013. For email addresses not subject to COPPA, such as email addresses collected through our mobile applications designed for adults, we may share those email addresses on a confidential basis in connection with a merger or acquisition involving our company.

Security
Little Bee Speech Co. uses generally accepted security measures and safeguards in an attempt to keep the data it collects secure and requires that the third parties it works with agree to do the same. The measures and safeguards include limiting access to the data to those persons who need it to complete their work for Little Bee Speech Co., using a fire-wall protected environment, and storing personal information in secure operating environments. Little Bee Speech Co. cannot and does not guarantee and does not accept liability for unintentional disclosure.

Data Breaches
Little Bee Speech Co. uses best practices to securely store and transmit data to the SLPs with authorized access. In the unlikely event of a data breach, we contain the breach, notify your organization and assess the risks for individuals associated with the breach, and make a record of the breach and then further review the incident and take action to prevent future breaches.

Third Party Services
We don’t allow links to third Party Services within our mobile applications. We may use a variety of services hosted by third parties to help provide our Services, such as payment processing, sending emails, infrastructure and IT services, or helping with customer or technical support. We do not control third parties’ content, services, and/or tracking technologies. Push Notifications
For our iOS applications, we may send push notifications if the user opts in to receive them. Apple’s push notification process automatically provides us with a token which is identified to a specific device, enabling notifications to be sent to that device through Apple’s push notification service. The token is used only to send push notifications. The token is not disclosed and is not used for any other purpose or combined with any other information. We send push notifications to communicate information about how to interact with our applications as well as updates or new features added to our applications. Notifications can be turned off through the “Notifications” tab within iOS “Settings.”

Cookies
When you visit our website (www.littlebeespeech.com), we may send cookies to your device that uniquely identify your browser. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service by storing user preferences and tracking usage information. Most browsers allow you to disable cookies or set your browser to alert you when cookies are being sent to your computer.

Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. Use of information we collect is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected. If we make changes in the way we use your email address, we will notify you in advance of posting by email. Such modifications will become effective on the date set forth in the email.
